Premium Dry White Wine from Western Istria, Controlled Origin

Malvazija

Vineyard and Harvest

The vineyards of OH Wine Malvasia are located on the rolling hills of Western Istria, at an altitude of 140-180 meters above sea level. The deep, mineral-rich red soil naturally limits the yield, resulting in premium-quality grapes. A warm spring and favorable rainfall distribution enabled perfect ripening, while the hand harvest on September 16 ensured the preservation of all the grape’s natural properties.

Vinification and Maturation

After being hand-harvested in the early morning hours, the grapes were processed cold to preserve their freshness and aromatic profile. This was followed by a cold maceration of 12 hours, after which the must fermented at a temperature of 11-13°C for ten days. The wine then aged for three months on fine lees, followed by another two months in the bottle before being released to the market.

Characteristics and Taste

OH Wine Malvasia is distinguished by its brilliant clarity and greenish-golden hue. The nose reveals fresh aromas of green apple with subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh, and well-rounded, with pronounced minerality and a slightly salty finish that highlights the authenticity of the Istrian terroir.

Serving Recommendation

Best served chilled at 6-10°C, paired with light appetizers, pasta, truffle risottos, white meat, fish, and seafood.
