An Istrian winery not only produces exceptional wines but also special olive oil, and they have now ventured into the production of certified yeasts from the Teran grape variety.
Last week, OH Wines from Vižinada held a presentation at Zagreb’s Vinski Klub. While the wine industry is often associated with family businesses and tradition, OH Wines tells a completely different story – from its approach and production methods to its labels and very name.
Their primary foreign markets are Germany and Austria. The OH Wines vineyards span a total of five hectares, cultivating Malvasia, Chardonnay, Teran, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with Yellow Muscat added this year. From these varieties, they produce ten distinct labels. Winemaker Saša Bernobić states that his vision is to continually enhance nature’s gifts, creating fresh and drinkable wines while always surprising even the most demanding connoisseurs.
